About your trip

Workshop Title:

Wearable Art Adventure

This retreat is an invitation to turn everyday clothing into living, breathing art.

Over the course of our time together, we’ll experiment boldly and play freely…stamping patterns, painting with bleach, drawing directly onto fabric with markers, and layering in meaning with patches. We’ll sculpt small clay pins, transform shoes into statement pieces, and explore how texture, mark-making, and creativity can express your personality.

You’ll create a collection of wearable works:

  • shirts or jackets infused with your personal symbols

  • pants altered through paint, line, and pattern

  • clay pins made by hand and worn with pride

  • shoes reimagined as fun statements

No single piece stands alone…each becomes part of a story you’re telling through what you wear.

We’ll close the retreat with a joyful runway show, where your creations and YOU get to shine!

No fashion experience required…just curiosity, courage, and a willingness to let your inner artist come out and PLAY!!

Come make art you don’t hang on the wall.

Come make art you WEAR!!

About Lori Siebert

When asked to define her artistic style, Lori Siebert says that she likes to be a bit of a chameleon.

Constantly experimenting with different styles and mediums feeds her insatiable curiosity. She has a very whimsical design sense and loves to play with color to give each collection that she designs its own unique personality. She started taking private art lessons at the young age of 7 and continued to study art throughout high school. This led to a degree in graphic design from the University of Cincinnati. She opened her own design firm just 3 years out of college in 1987. Her firm, Olika Studios, has developed branding and design programs for influential clients such as Target, Bath & Body Works, Nickelodeon and Universal Studios.

Lori began the art licensing arm of her business 13 years ago and now works with several top manufacturers in the gift and home decor industry. Her client list includes Demdaco, Creative Co-op, Studio M, Lang and many more. Her licensed products have been sold through many key retailers and small gift shops throughout the United States and Canada.

She creates every day, dividing her time between her home studio in Kentucky… sewing, sculpting, drawing, painting, and the Olika Studio office… meeting with clients and developing concepts with her very talented design team. Her husband, Steve, is her business partner and she has two children… Kenzie (who is a designer and works closely with her mom at Olika) and Tanner (who is a mechanical engineer). She also has two grandchildren who light up her life!!!
